Dolphin Diary 111212, a set on Flickr.

After heading all the way up the coastline to Madadajanine we located a pod of dolphins on our southern run heading around the point of Malongane moving south. I was overjoyed to see Gawane in the water and even more excited when I realized i was looking at a very pregnant belly! I have been waiting for this day for a long time! As I voiced my excitement so did she! The encounter was brief in the water but was long enough for me to confirm that she will soon grace us with her first offspring if all goes well.
